About

Discover how smart home and assistive technologies are helping people with disabilities live more independently while also supporting caregivers and service providers. MOKA will host an open house at its Smart Home Demonstration Site, the Possibility Pod, featuring guided tours for groups of 6–7 attendees. During each tour, guests will experience a realistic home environment showcasing assistive technologies that help people with disabilities enhance safety, improve communication, support daily living, and increase choice and autonomy. While waiting for their tour, attendees will enjoy light refreshments and view a short video highlighting other innovative technology solutions and the impact they are having in homes and communities. The event is designed for healthcare professionals, disability service providers, caregivers, advocates, technology enthusiasts, and members of the general public interested in learning how technology is improving lives. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how technology can expand opportunities for greater independence while helping address workforce and caregiving challenges across healthcare and human services.
