Terms of service

By using techweek.moonshinelabs.io ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What the service is

The service is a free, independent planning companion for Tech Week Grand Rapids operated by Moonshine Labs. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the conference organizers or any event host. Recommendations are generated from your stated interests and availability and are not endorsements.

2. Registration happens elsewhere

Saving an event in the service does not register you for it. Registration, tickets, capacity, waitlists, and refunds are handled entirely by each host on their own platform. Attendance states you set in the service are self-reported unless explicitly marked as confirmed by a provider. We are not responsible for a host's changes, cancellations, or admission decisions.

3. Accuracy of information

Event details are imported from public sources and may be incomplete or change without notice. We mark events with unconfirmed times or venues, and travel times are estimates. Always confirm details with the host before travelling. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

4. Your account

You may create an account with Google or LinkedIn. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old. You may delete your account at any time from Profile & privacy.

5. Hosts, speakers, and claims

If you claim an event, organization, or speaker record you represent that you are authorized to manage it. Claims are verified against organizer contact information or reviewed by an administrator, and every claim and edit is logged. We may revoke a claim or edit at any time. Content you publish through a claim must be accurate and lawful and must not include other people's personal data without their consent.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service; impersonate others; harvest attendee information; or use the service for spam or harassment. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Your content and sharing

You keep ownership of anything you enter. You grant us a licence to store and display it to operate the service according to your privacy settings. Sharing your itinerary makes it visible to anyone with the link until you turn sharing off.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moonshine Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for missed events, travel costs, or registration outcomes arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 100.

9. Changes, termination, and law

We may update these terms and the service at any time; continued use after a change means you accept it. We may discontinue the service after the conference. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Questions: [email protected]. See also our Privacy policy.
