About
As part of Grand Rapids Tech Week, we will host a live, interactive demonstration of the robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery system, highlighting the role of advanced technology in modern orthopedic care. This event will take place in an open lobby and will be structured as a two-hour, drop-in experience, allowing Tech Week attendees to engage at their own pace. Orthopedic surgeon Kevin Steelman, MD will be present throughout the event to: Provide live demonstrations Explain how robotic-assisted technology enhances surgical precision and planning Discuss how data-driven insights and 3D imaging contribute to personalized joint replacement procedures Answer questions from attendees in an informal, educational setting Participants will be able to: View the robotic system up close Gain a better understanding of how robotics and imaging technology are integrated into surgical care Learn how innovation in healthcare technology is improving patient outcomes and recovery experiences This event is designed for a broad audience, including community members, professionals, and anyone interested in how technology is shaping the future of healthcare.
